Ice-cream
You felt like ice cream,
on a hot summer afternoon,
I wanted to have it but couldn't,
was it a bane or a boon?
It stayed there,
Just like you did,
Telling me to hurry,
Tempting me, like it was a bid.
I might have reached out,
But a thought struck me,
Would I really want to travel for someone,
Who wouldn't even see?
Meanwhile, another girl picked it,
Found out it was fake,
I stood there, happily,
Knowing, I just saved a mistake.
